In the front I have my headphones. But in windows 10 sound options they are all the same device 'speaker' but i would like my headphones to have enabled Windows Sonic for headphones, but I dont want it on my speakers, as my sub can only be activate if i have a 5.1 speaker setup. But Windows Sonic for headphones disables this. May 20, 2018.

How to start sharing

  1. Connect your AirPods or your Beats headphones to your iOS device.
  2. Tap the AirPlay icon in Control Center or the Lock screen or in the app you're listening to.
  3. Tap Share Audio.
  4. If your friend has AirPods, hold them close to your device with the AirPods inside the case and open the lid. If your friend has Beats wireless headphones, put them in pairing mode and hold them close to your device.
  5. When you see your friend's headphones appear on your screen, tap Share Audio.
  1. Using windows 10, and I've noticed some games don't switch their audio when you start them on headphones and then change default to speakers. This is useful because it allows me to play videogames using headphones while a sibling watches netflix on my second monitor/TV. The thing is, only a small amount of games do this!
  2. I want to just get the audio from my Steam voice chat on the headphones and the audio from my game from my speakers, as I am fond of making videos with FRAPS and don't want the voice recorded. I know it is possible to split the audio, but when I go to my playback devices in my sound options, all that's there is speakers, no headphones.

How to control audio

You can change the volume and play, pause, and stop your audio with the controls that are on the Lock screen or in Control Center. Drag the volume slider for either set of headphones, or drag the volume slider at the bottom to control the volume of both headphones.

You and your friend can also control the audio with the controls on your headphones. If you change the volume with headphone controls, only those headphones are affected.

How to stop sharing

To stop sharing, tap the AirPlay icon in Control Center or the Lock screen or in the app you're listening to.

Tap the check mark next to the headphones you want to stop sharing with. When you stop sharing audio, you also disconnect the second set of headphones.

I'm looking to build a Family/HTPC, with two monitors, one being my tv (for films, tv shows etc) the other a standard computer monitor (for browsing, email etc.).
This obviously requires 2 outputs. The TV is limited to HDMI, so I'll be channelling video and sound through that. Then the other monitor will deal with the everyday usage part of things.

I just want to know is there a solution such that the sound corresponding to the programs running on the TV automatically goes to the tv, and the sound for the monitor's windows go through the monitor (with hdmi and the monitor's audio out, or other speakers/headphones. That way, people could watch a movie, and in the same room someone could be browsing with headphones, and they wouldn't bother each other.

Just a note to admins/mods, I reposted 'cos I saw 'Windows Vista' at the top, what I thought was a subforum, and as this isn't likely to be a vista box, I reposted in 'Build your own pc,' but then realised I couldn't delete this one.
These forums are a little different to what I'm used to, sorry about that.

I'm bumping this because I'm also interested in how this may be done.

I'm not sure how you would separate the sounds like that. I do know with Windows 7 you have volume controls for individual applications. You could just mute everything except for windows media center or whatever app you are using to watch movies. That way people can watch the movies and hear everything and the person browsing the internet just wont have sounds.

I am not sure if this works(it is just a thought), but if you have the TV speakers in the rear speakers jack and select in windows media centre or whatever app you are using to watch movies to have its only sound output on this jack. Then you also have a setting on the other stuff that you are using not to use this jack for output sounds.
This is just a thought that might need expanding..

Think what you will get is the same as when you play mulitple Youtube music clips at the same time. Learning group leadership an experiential approach pdf download.

Hmmm..since HDMI carries audio as well as video, if, using Rick's YouTube example, one has a movie or video playing on each of two monitors, wouldn't each monitor have it's own audio?

If the sound is being processed for instance by the on-motherboard sound processor, there is no way to split the mulitple sound streams that I know of. What you hear is a mixture of the streams.

I thought of that after I posted (no..really..I did!). Sigh!

Ibm notes for mac download. (thinkin..)

Mayhap if one added a sound card?

One must be Designated Default Device. :( :(
Also Driver issues involved.

How To Split Sound Between Speakers And Headphones Video

I don't think this is possible. If the two sounds were to be split, what would happen if I put the youtube video in the middle of the two? One part of the web browser is on monitor 1, and the other part is on monitor 2. I think this would just be impossible.

r51, did you check the date on this thread? It's rather outdated.
